self portrait

This self portrait was one of my first drawings within my college art courses. I have really never explored self portraits and was kind of nervous to create something that seemed somewhat personal. In terms of the drawing, I wanted my composition to be somewhat triangular, leaving a large amount of open space. I also didn’t want to draw too much of my face to add a sense of ambiguity within the border and the cover of the leaves.
